CAREER EXPLORATION
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Career Exploration Internship Program:
The Career Exploration Internship Program (“CEIP”) is a 1 semester non-paid, ½ credit internship that will provide students (primarily those in their senior year) with a link between school and the workplace. The program will provide students with a hands-on opportunity to experience and work in and/or explore occupations and careers of their interest. The course will consist of a minimum of 27 hours of class and course work and a minimum of 54 hours of non-paid internship experience. The primary goals of this course are to help students better understand the realities of the working world and their future role in it. The course seeks to help students develop progressive skills and behaviors that will help them integrate their role within the workplace and their community. Upon completion of this program students should be able to make more informed college and career choices. Students MUST have their own transportation to and from their internship site.
